Get Detailed Information
Stem cells form all organs and tissues in our body. Stem cells can divide and renew themselves indefinitely and turn into organs and tissues. With these features, they are used in the treatment of diseases such as cancer, Alzheimer's, diabetes, rheumatism, heart disease, and bone disease. Our blood also acts as a stem cell and the cells circulating in it help with growth and healing.
The basic cells of the blood are red blood cells, white blood cells and clotting cells. The clotting cells, platelets, stop bleeding that occurs as a result of an injury and form a protective layer that prevents bleeding from continuing. This protective layer also helps the wound heal. This feature and power of the clotting cell has been used in many medical fields.
In dentistry surgery, plasma-rich fibrin (PRF) obtained from our blood is used in sinus lifting and bone defect repair related to implant treatments. PRP contains many substances that accelerate healing.
Fibrin Rich in Tissue Growth Hormones (PRF)
" Repairing and growing gums and bones is now easier with PRF produced from blood in 10 minutes "
1- Blood is drawn from the patient to create PRF material
2- Blood is converted into platelet concentrate by a special medicla centrifuge machine
3,4- From this platelet concentration, white blood cells and membranes rich in blood vessel dilating agents are produced.
5- These membranes are then placed on the patient's area that needs healing.
6,7 – These parts, which consist entirely of the patient's own body materials, accelerate wound healing, bone growth and help with graft (artificial bone) placement.
The most distinctive features of PRF:
Accelerating tissue healing
Accelerates stopping of bleeding
Non-toxic
Since it is obtained from the patient's own blood, the immune system does not react.
PRF is obtained by taking it from the patient's own blood and is therefore a natural healer. PRF is obtained with a special centrifuge device in the clinic and is applied immediately. Thus, the recovery period after all intraoral surgery is shortened and patients regain their health more quickly.
-
1Is the PRF procedure painful?
No, only the blood collection process is felt, but the procedure is painless.
-
2How is the PRF process performed?
Blood is taken from the patient, centrifuged, and the resulting fibrin clot is placed in the treatment area.
-
3In which dental treatments is PRF used?
It is used to accelerate healing in implants, tooth extractions, bone grafts and gum treatments.
-
4What is PRF?
It is a natural treatment method obtained from the person's own blood and accelerates healing.
