Situations requiring tooth extraction
- In extremely inflamed teeth that cannot be treated with root canal treatment
- Failure of root canal treatment
- As gum inflammation progresses, the tooth experiences excessive bone loss.
- Making room for other teeth by performing “serial extractions” for orthodontic treatment
Gap after tooth extraction
Situations that require tooth extraction; the gap that occurs after tooth extraction; a porcelain bridge to replace it as soon as possible, implant or other prosthetics should be made. If the gap formed after tooth extraction is not filled, the teeth next to the gap and the tooth opposite the gap will shift and change places. The displacement of the teeth is both aesthetically and functionally harmful. The axes and positions of these teeth are disrupted.
Problems occur in the jaw joint due to the disruption of the closing order of the teeth. It may not be possible to make bridges or other prosthetics on teeth with disrupted axes in the future.
Therefore, in order to avoid many problems in the future, this space must be filled after tooth extraction. In general, situations that require tooth extraction consist of these.

- Continue with normal oral care practices for 24 hours following tooth extraction.
- If the tooth extraction was more difficult than usual, apply ice to the extraction area from the outside for 5-10 minutes every hour for 8 hours.
