Bonding is a painless method of correcting minor imperfections in the tooth. Most of the time, more than one tooth can be corrected with this method in one session. A tooth-colored material called composite resin is used in bonding treatment. When this substance hardens, it looks and feels just like a tooth. After the composite resin is placed on the tooth, it is cured with a special light.

Composite resin can be the same color as your tooth, it can naturally fill the part of your tooth, it can close the gap between your teeth, or it can turn into the same color as your other teeth by covering the top of your discolored tooth.

How to make a bonding ?

By placing a thin film between your teeth, your dentist prevents neighboring teeth from being affected by the procedure. A chemical is applied to the tooth that will be treated later, which will make it easier to hold on. This substance provides better adhesion of the composite resin. Then the color of the composite resin is matched to your other teeth.

The resin applied layer by layer is then hardened with a special light. After the last layer is placed, your dentist shapes and polishes it. Your teeth look natural and smooth. Your dentist may apply minor corrections or polishing at your next visit, if necessary. Bonding can wear out over time. In this case, your dentist can restore by applying new layers if necessary.
