- For the first two days, an ice compress should be applied externally to the operation area. It should be applied for 10 minutes and then rested for five minutes. In addition, rinsing the mouth with clean ice water on the day of the operation and the following day reduces bleeding and edema.
- Implants If there is a tampon in your mouth after, try to keep it in place for 30 minutes without moving it. Do not eat anything for 2 hours and if possible, do not drink. If necessary, you can drink water after 30 minutes.
- It is normal to see blood when you spit for 24 hours after the operation. Hot food and drinks should be avoided for 2 days after the operation. The operation area is sensitive until healing is complete. Do not poke, pull, or touch it, only protect the operation area while chewing.
- One of the things to be careful about after the implant is not to touch the operation area with a brush until the stitches are removed (they will be removed after 1-2 weeks). During this process, antiseptic mouthwashes can be used and this is sufficient to ensure hygiene. Teeth outside the operation area should be brushed.
- It is recommended not to smoke.
- If temporary teeth are placed in the implant area, hard foods should be avoided. Examples of soft foods are; pasta varieties, fish, boiled vegetables, puree, everything that has been processed in the food processor, cheese, yogurt, etc.
